Artistic Director and Classical Ballet Teacher
Born and raised in Torino , Italy , she trained for two years at the Scuola del Teatro Nuovo Torino under the direction of Loredana Furno and one year with Claire Jahier at Scuola di Danza Bella Hutter Torino . In 1979 she joined the ”ACADÉMIE DE DANSE CLASSIQUE PRINCESSE GRACE”, Monaco, under the direction of Marika Besobrasova where she remained until accomplishment of the studies and the attainment of the Professional Dancer Diploma in 1984. Joined the STUTTGART BALLET in 1984 first under the direction of Marcia Haydée (till 1996) then under the direction of Reid Anderson (till 1998), extensively touring in Europe, Israel, U.S.A., Canada, Japan, Korea, Hong-Kong, China, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela and Uruguay Her repertoire included solo roles in ballets such as: Classical: THE SLEEPING BEAUTY, RAYMONDA, PAQUITA AND GISELLE.
Neo-classical and modern: CRANKO'S Onegin, Brouillards, The taming of the shrew, Initials R.B.M.E, and Romeo and Juliet
As well as ballets of: G. BALANCHINE, M. BÉJART, N. DUATO , W. FORSYTHE, M. HAYDÉE, J. KYLIÁN, K. MACMILLAN, H. VAN MANEN, J. NEUMAIER, G. TETLEY, U. SCHOLZ AND R. DE OLIVEIRA.
The following roles were created especiallt for her: The Countess of Hainault in “Edward II” (David Bintley), The Destiny in “The Farewell” (Carlos Valcarcel) The leading role in “The Other Side” (Renato Zanella) The leading role in “Angels” (Orazio Caiti)
She attained the Diploma of “Instructor of First level” for the G y rotonic Ex p ansion S y stem Juliu Horvath Method New York , U.S.A. . In July 1999 she graduated, in London , as a Classical Ballet Teachers with Distinction. In July 2000 she created the “ INTENSIVE SUMMER COURSE FOR BALLET STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND PROFESSIONAL DANCERS ” at Verrazzano's Castle (Greve in Chianti) where besides teaching she assumed the organization and the artistic co-direction of the event. During the 3 editions, of the course, Guest Teachers, internationally renown, were invited such as: Mikko Nissinen (director of Boston Ballet USA), Wilfride Piollet (Formerly a Paris Opera Etoile and Classical Ballet Teacher at the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique et de Danse), Carlos Iturrioz (Nacho Duato's personal assistant at ( Compañia Nacional de Danza Madrid), Orazio Caiti (Formerly a soloist with Aterballetto, Italy, and a Freelance Choreographer) and Jean Guizerix (Formerly a Paris Opera Etoile and Classical Ballet Teacher at the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique et de Danse). In September 2002 she founds and directs the ACCADEMIA INTERNAZIONALE COREUTICA, ENTE DI ALTO PERFEZIONAMENTO NELLE ARTI DELLA DANZA ( International Choreutic Academy, an organisation for professional formation in the art of dance). In the 4 years Professional Formation Course she is teaching Classical ballet, Pas de deux, Repertoire, Character Dances, Ballet's Theory, Anatomy applied to Ballet and Biomechanics. The Academy offers to students a complete formative program, profiting from the collaboration with Teachers of great experience such as: Michele Pogliani (Contemporary Dance and Contemporary Repertoire), Massimiliano Greco (Maestro at the piano, Teachers of Music applied to ballet and Music History), Marco Guazzelli (Tai-Chi), Yoga teachers and internationally renown Guest Teachers . More she is invited to take part as a Guest Teacher in international courses in Italy and abroad ( Singapore , Hong- Kong, Japan , Germany ) as well as been regularly invited in many Italian schools. |
